Psoriasis Clinical Trial

clinical trials psoriasis treatment

The effectiveness of PsoEasy Active Cream has been successfully tested in a clinical study in 15 patients with psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and eczema. This study was led by Dr. Natalya Plosk, a dermatology specialist at Sheba Hospital in Israel. Check out the original report on clinical trial results here. You also have the opportunity to consult the file containing the images of the zones affected by the diseases before and after the test.

Clinical trial evaluating the efficacy of the PSOEASY Active Cream

Leading manager of the trial: Dr. Natalya Plosk

Type of study: Clinical efficacy study.

Director of the study and Contact person: Mrs. Ilana Shaked

Introduction and description of product components

Mr. Shimon Furman (MA) is the chemist for the PsoEasy product series.
The study was performed on the "Active Cream" product.

In creating the formula for PsoEasy Active Cream, three principals were employed:

a. The cream will contain herbal ingredients as much as possible not to create asynergia.

b. Will not contain any ceratolytic substances.

c. Will not contain Tar by-products or silicones.

Accordingly, we have created a formula that also meets international standards regulating the use of renewable substances.

In order to achieve the cream's purpose, a long list of herbal extracts known by medical research literature as effective in achieving humidification and treatment of free radicals was selected. They also permit the normalization of skin cell renewal.

Study objectives

The purpose of the study will be to prove the efficacy of the PsoEasy Active cream in relieving cases of Psoriasis, Atopic dermatitis and Eczema.

Selecting the subjects

All volunteers have been selected according to the following criteria:

  • Type of psoriasis: Light to Mild
  • Have not been using steroids for 3 weeks prior to commencing treatment
  • Some have never been treated with steroids and some will continue their steroid treatment concurrently with using the cream
  • The Period the patients have been suffering from psoriasis is 6 months to 10 years
  • Men, women and youngest (more than 10 years old)
  • Patients suffering from psoriasis on scalp or limbs
  • Wishing to volunteer out of their own free will

Criteria for rejecting volunteers:

  • Those suffering from very sever psoriasis.
  • Children under 4 years old.

Product being tested

Topical cream called PSOEASY ACTIVE CREAM

Study process

  • Some of the patients were under the care of Dr. Natalia Plosk following topical treatments with customary used ointments: Daivobet oint., Diprosalyc oint., Dermovate cream, Daivonex cream.
  • Patients treated with these ointments had experienced partial improvement but still had a partial active rash.
  • Some of the patients began the trial with no prior treatment and with a localized rash on the limbs and to a smaller degree on the body.
  • Patients were provided with instructions for using the cream: to apply it on clean, dry skin twice daily (morning + evening), continuously for about a month + 1 Jar of PsoEasy Active cream 250ml.
  • In most cases, the study director took a picture of the body part being treated prior to beginning the trial.
  • Additionally she questioned the volunteer concerning the history of his/her disease. How many years and what medications he/she has used so far (attached is a tracking form and questionnaire).
  • The volunteer received the jars together with instructions for use as well as a self tracking card to be filled in by the volunteer for their convenience.
  • After three days the study director either called the volunteer or they visited the clinic to diagnose any change in their condition. The volunteer was also questioned about the frequency of the cream's use.
  • The body part was photographed after treatment of 1 week, then after 2 weeks and also after 3 weeks.

Scope of study

The study covered 15 volunteers - patients suffering from psoriasis, Atopic dermatitis and Eczema

10 patients had been diagnosed with psoriasis:

  • Psoriasis vulgaris (classic type) - with an extensive rash on the body and limbs.
  • Psoriasis inversa - with a rash in the folds of the groins, between the toes and in the underarms.
  • Psoriasis vulgaris (localized type) - thick, hardened skin with silvery flakes on knees and elbows.
  • Psoriasis pustulars - with a pustular rash on the chest.

2 patients had been diagnosed with Eczematoid dermatitis - a severe, itchy rash with bleeding cracks.

3 patients had been diagnosed with Atopic dermatitis - a severe, itchy rash in specific areas of the body, particularly the face and limbs.

Study period

Between two weeks and one month.

Study documentation method

  • All information about each patient has been summarized in a detailed Excel chart (attached).

  • All of the photographs taken throughout the entire period have been saved.

Conclusions

The treatment uses a natural cream called PsoEasy Active Cream, based on herbal ingredients.

It is recommended for patients with:

  • Psoriasis
  • Atopic dermatitis
  • Eczematoid dermatitis

Can be suitable as combined psoriasis treatment with conventional medications and also as monotherapy.

PsoEasy cream effectively treats typical psoriasis symptoms such as scaling, itching, dryness and hardened skin without the need to use steroids.

In this clinical studies, I could see a reduction of scaling and itching was noticeable as from the first week of treatment.

The fact that this cream absorbs easily and non-greasy, makes people use it frequently without risk of staining clothes.

The product has gone through a safety assessment and has been found safe for use and most optimal for body psoriasis treatment.

After investigating all the ingredients I find this cream safe for use by pregnant women.

Sincerely,

Dr. Natalia Plosk
